Describe and Explain the formation of convectional and relief rainfall
Convectional rainfall is when air parcels are heated by the ground, rises, cools & condenses forming rain. When heated they become light & rise.
Relief or orographic rainfall occurs when air rises over a mountain or barrier cools & condenses eventually forming rain on the windward side.
The air continues its journey descending on the leeward side warm & dry.
Rain shadow deserts can be found on the leeward side
