Social impacts
-Migration from drought stricken areas to greener pastures, e.g urban areas causing urbanisation
-Family breakages as some may wander around looking for green pastures
-Mental & body health is affected
-Death & and malnutrition
-Unethical food & water sources can be used e.g toxic water etc

*Economical*
-Low exports of cash crops like Tobacco reducing GDP
- Unemployment due to retrenchment of workers
-Load Shedding of electricity as less power will be supplied
-Price increase of commodities like mealie meal
-High cost of living etc
